The Social Cat Story

The history of Social Cat coming to be was years in the making. A passion for marketing that began in the 90’s led to career in the fashion footwear industry with a well-known global brand. While building a massive ecommerce website, this thing called Facebook began gaining popularity. A page was created for the brand and I grew it by over 21,000 followers in less than a year. Pretty good for the time and it was really fun! Social media became more and more prominent and evolved into the necessity it is in people’s lives today.

Following that tenure in fashion, I continued down the path of digital marketing for a building materials company, an event planning company, and a hospitality company building websites, social media channels, and email marketing while still being heavily involved in overall branding, promotions, new business launches, product launches and the like. To me, marketing and digital marketing are one in the same.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, it hit the hospitality industry hard. My corporate position was eliminated and the job I loved was taken from me. Or so I thought.

Wanting to continue doing what I love and excel at, I founded Social Cat. Having made so many friends that have a wealth of experience like me and found themselves in the same situation as me, it was the perfect opportunity to pool these resources and form this company. It exists to help businesses fill their marketing void. While digital is a focus, there are many other needs that fall under the marketing umbrella.
